Feedback
Seminar
What did you like about the seminar?
- “All the sessions were very inspirational.”
- “Loved the venue and food.”
- “I believe it was great experience, Thank you.”
- “For someone at entry level, it was a little overwhelming listening only about research.”
- “I actually heard parts of almost all presentations and find those parts interesting and insightful but I don’t find it fair to assess the whole presentation based on pieces.
Overall I just loved the sense of community, the freedom, openness and the pinch of casualness that made me feel very comfortable and feel at easy like home.” - “I really liked that venue, I think the hall fits perfect the energy of the event.”
- “You did it great with the registration, the venue, the food, the moderator, the whole program.”
- “This was my second time attending UX Sofia at this venue and I enjoyed it a lot both times, I also like that it’s not super big so it cannot take too many people.”
- “Loved the venue!”
- “The best venue so far :)”
- “Прекрасно, уютно, красиво място с достатъчно естествена светлина, предразполагащо към “нетуъркинг”.”
What can we improve in the seminar?
- “The food was not enough. Also, you could think about recycling the plastic bottles or at least provide a station for the caps.”
- “I enjoyed it, but i would have like to see a bit more focus on Design as well. I do realize the main theme was Research of course but one or two talks on Design would have been nice as well.”
- “I was not able to find out who were the volunteers. Maybe just get them on stage to see them :)”
- “The day itself was perfectly organised. It would have liked to receive communications about the programme and invite etc. a bit earlier, about 1 week before the event would have been good.”
- “What I miss is well facilitated networking during the event.”
Workshops
- “While I enjoyed the whole workshop, I would recommend to include more practical tasks. Maybe next time we can try to identify one another what type of persona are we.”
- “It didn’t feel like a workshop. There were barely any tasks for us to complete or engage in, but we mainly listened to a lecture. It was an interesting lecture though.”
- “I’d change the workshop’s order a bit. Instead of having a long theoretical part and then long workshop, I’d maybe divide it into 4 sections (as the workshop had 4 tasks)- short theory about the 1st part, then quick workshop on that, with assistance where needed and then proceed to section 2. Working on the designs collectively at least partially is better than doing it alone, as I am a firm believer that you learn more by working together.”
- “I really liked it. I think it was very interesting and the techniques presented are very useful. The only things I would recommend: 1. It was a bit weird that the speaker left a bit after the middle of the session. I get that he is busy, but maybe he could have moved his session to the previous day or whatever. Because he didn’t even stay to hear our presentations. 2. I felt like we had the insights presented and then we were going in circles, repeating the same things over and over again. IMO this could have been a 30 mins session instead of a 4 hours one. Other than this I think the speaker is super nice and energetic person and very inspiring. And the 3rd thing: in the end I felt like “we were selling something”, as Jimmy said, not as we are presenting how UX can affect a specific topic and help us. Maybe the techniques should be reconsidered?”
- “Some help for the practical task would be useful for us as a group: 1. to choose who will be presenting from the beginning; 2. to stick to max 3 points for the mid part, in order to save time in discussions and avoid ending with confusion :)”
- “Loved the activities. I would love to be able to take the miro board and have access to it so that I can do it with my team back home.”
- “Having a problem that’s abstract for the participants (not from everyday work) makes participants focus too much on solving the problem rather than paying attention to the discovery phase and its specifics. I would ask everyone to select their own products at work – this would both help them focus on the discovery and support their job.”
- “Super location, great food, and organization! If there are more vegan options (like milk), that would be great!”
- “Everything was great, keep the good work.”
- “Everything was great, thanks to all organizers! I would recommend only to make the badges more endurable and with branded lace instead of a thread.”
- “Everything with the organization was great, even the small difficulties with the mics didn’t interrupt the process and the tech team immediately fixed it 🙂 Also the catering was great.”
Topic: Research in UX
- research done to monitor, measure, and enhance the UX of products and services,
- research done on the practices and skills in the UX field itself.
Enhancing User Experiences. As UX practitioners ourselves, we believe that user research is a cornerstone for creating products and services that offer good user experiences to their users.
- By understanding user behaviors, motivations, and pain points, we can shape our offerings to be both functional and delightful.
- By constantly collecting and addressing feedback from users, we can maintain our offerings in a good shape.
- By understanding what works for users and what doesn’t, we are helping our businesses or company make more money.
- By measuring and optimizing user efficiency and effectiveness, we are helping our businesses or company save money
This edition of UX Sofia delves into the methodologies, tools, and strategies for conducting user research to measure and improve the UX of products and services.
Elevating the UX Field. Our focus extends beyond the realm of product evaluation. We recognize the importance of research in advancing the UX field itself by asking and looking for answers to questions like:
- What are the trends, challenges, and opportunities in UX practices?
- How is the understanding of UX research changing in companies and among UX practitioners?
- How much money are UX researchers making and what budgets are available for UX Research?
- Who are the people doing UX research?
This conference serves as a platform for sharing research on UX methodologies, education, and the evolving role of the UX professional.
