Build it. Run it. Iterate on it. Make it part of how you work.
Design work has always had two phases:
- Discovery — where you learn, observe, research, strategize, and understand the people you’re designing for.
- Delivery — where you execute, produce, and make the thing.
Discovery is where the value lives. Delivery exists because it has to.
For too long, delivery consumed designers. AI changes that equation entirely. The workshop gives you a direct experience of what it feels like to hand delivery to an AI team — and stay entirely in discovery.
Goal
Working from a shared design brief, you will build a real, functioning set of AI design agents from scratch. These agents will handle the delivery cycle: taking inputs from your conversations, your research, your strategy sessions, and turning them into design outputs.
Once running, the workflow listens to your human work and executes — leaving you free to focus on what has always mattered most: meeting users, observing behaviour, brainstorming with teammates, testing ideas, and solving problems worth solving. The goal is to show that your AI team doesn’t wait to be asked. It follows the context of your work and acts proactively, like an effective team member who knows when to move without being told.
Outcome
By the end of the workshop, you will have built an AI team, run it, measured its output, iterated on it, and felt the shift from executor to orchestrator.
Structure
- ORIENT
Mindset, theory, and a visual map of the agentic workflow. What are we building, why does it matter, and what does it feel like to work this way? - BUILD
Agent roles, context files, instructions. Everyone builds their own team around a shared brief. Claude and Claude Code are the primary tools. - TEST
Run it. Measure the output against defined criteria. Adjust. Run it again. Feel the difference between directing and executing. - JOIN
Connect what you just built to your real daily life (email, Slack, and other tools you already use) – a facilitator-led demonstration.
Note: this segment will include a clear discussion of privacy and security considerations for anyone connecting AI workflows to personal or professional communication tools. - REFLECT
An open group reflection. What shifted? What surprised you? What will you do differently on Monday?
Handouts and follow-up
You will receive a follow-up email with resources, setup guides, and next steps. Philip will remain available via email and LinkedIn for individual questions about applying the workflow to your own practice.
Prerequisites
You should arrive with Claude and Claude Code installed and running on your laptop. A detailed setup guide — including a short video walkthrough — will be sent before the workshop. No coding experience is required.
